Terms of Service
Last updated : July 7, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the Pyzo app. By using the service, you accept these Terms without reservation.
1. Publisher
The Pyzo app is published by:
- DATAEKKO, a French limited liability company (SARL) with share capital of €100
- Versailles Trade and Companies Register: 890 922 073(SIREN 890 922 073)
- Registered office: 3 rue des Près, 78300 Poissy, France
- Contact: support@pyzo.app
2. Purpose and nature of the service
Pyzo is an application for couples who want to track their shared expenses while keeping separate bank accounts. The service notably lets you log expenses, calculate each person's share, manage budgets and savings goals, and track the balance between the two members of the couple.
Pyzo is a tracking and calculation tool, not a payment service, a financial institution or an account provider. No real money flows through Pyzo. The app does not connect to any bank account and does not process any banking data. Real settlements between partners are made through third-party services (PayPal, Revolut, Lydia, handing over cash, etc.), outside the app and under the sole responsibility of the users.
3. Eligibility
The service is reserved for adults (18 years or older) who have the legal capacity to contract. By using Pyzo, you declare that you meet these conditions.
4. Sign-up and user account
Access to the service requires creating an account. Sign-in is passwordless, via a one-time code sent by email or through Apple or Google.
The user undertakes to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and preserve the confidentiality of their access. Any action carried out from an account is presumed to have been performed by its holder.
5. Data accuracy and user responsibility
Amounts, income, budgets and splits are entered manually by users. The accuracy of this data is the sole responsibility of the users. The calculations and balances provided by Pyzo are given for guidance only; it is up to each user to verify them before any settlement. Pyzo does not in any way constitute financial, tax or legal advice.
6. Pyzo Premium subscription
Pyzo offers two service tiers:
- Free plan: shared-expense tracking, split modes, balance and settling up, basic statistics and data export;
- Pyzo Premium: $4.99/month or $34.99/year (with a 3-day free trial), unlocking budgets, recurring expenses, custom categories, savings goals, recaps and advanced statistics.
A single Premium subscription covers both members of the couple: when one partner subscribes, the other also gets Premium.
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. The exact applicable price is shown in the app at the time of purchase and prevails. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in effect, unless cancelled.
Renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by the platform (Apple or Google) used at the time of purchase, according to its own terms. You can cancel at any time from your Apple or Google account settings. Pyzo does not issue direct refunds. Purchase restoration is supported.
7. Content and acceptable use
The user remains responsible for the data they enter in the app. They undertake to:
- use the service in accordance with its purpose and applicable laws;
- not disrupt the operation of the service nor attempt to access its resources in an unauthorized manner;
- not enter unlawful or defamatory data, or data infringing third-party rights;
- not use the service for fraudulent or money-laundering purposes.
8. Suspension and termination
The user may delete their account at any time from the app settings or by writing to support@pyzo.app. Deletion entails the erasure of the associated data within 30 days, except where legal retention obligations apply.
Since the Pyzo account is shared by both members of a couple, deleting the couple relies on a double confirmation: one partner makes the request, the other must accept it. Upon acceptance, all of the couple's data as well as both accounts are erased, and both devices are signed out. A member without an associated partner can delete their account directly.
The publisher reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the service in the event of a breach of these Terms, with prior notice where possible.
9. Availability and warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Some features may be limited, modified or temporarily unavailable. The publisher reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the service.
10. Limitation of liability
Pyzo does not process, store or have access to its users' banking data, and no real money flows through the app. Money transfers between members of the couple are made through third-party services, under the sole responsibility of the users.
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damages (loss of data, loss of business, moral prejudice, etc.) resulting from the use of, or the inability to use, the service.
11. Intellectual property
All elements of the service (interface, logo, source code, editorial content) are the exclusive property of the publisher or its partners and are protected by intellectual property law. No unauthorized use is permitted.
12. Personal data
The processing of personal data is detailed in the privacy policy, which complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
13. Changes to the Terms
The publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Substantial changes will be notified to the user by email or in the app at least 15 days before they take effect.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and after attempting an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
In accordance with articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the consumer user may use a consumer mediator free of charge to seek an amicable resolution of the dispute.
